Michigan Select Tryouts for U-15 and U-13 Festival Teams
Tryouts for both teams will be held at two locations. The first will be Friday, May 14th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Brother Rice High School in Birmingham. The second will be at Waverly High School in Lansing from 6pm to 8 pm on Sunday, May 16th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Players need to come to only one tryout.
There will be a $10 fee for tryouts. If selected the cost to play is expected to be approximately $325 for the U13 team and $375 for the U15 team. The fee covers housing and most meals.
For the U13 team players cannot have turned 13 before December 31, 2009. For the U15 team players cannot have turned 15 before December 31, 2009. Players can play only once at each age level. Players who have played in high school are ineligible to play in the Festival.
Details of the US Lacrosse National Festivals can be found at US Lacrosse web site. Briefly the U-13 is near Cincinnati, OH, June 11-13 and the U-15 is in Lake George, NY, June 18-20.
